How far is the house from the beach?
The front garden leads straight onto the beach. It’s 20m from the end of the veranda to the beach sand.
Do I need to bring my own towels?
No, there are both bath and beach towels available.
What is the security like?
There is a 3 tier alarm system.
Tier 1: PIR sensors at the beach gates and road gates.
Tier 2: PIR sensors around the outside of the house.
Tier 3: PIR sensors inside the house.
CCTV cameras on the road and around the outside of the house.
Aluminium Security Shutters on all doors and windows.
Motorized gates to the beach and the road.
IPPS Security armed response.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes – great restaurants and coffee shops in Salt Rock and Ballito.
How close is a convenience store?
There is a “tuck shop” 500m away.
Woolies Food and Checkers are 2km away.
Spar is 3km away
How close is a chemist?
500m away – there is a chemist in the same centre as the convenience store.
How close is a tidal pool?
230m south is Granny’s Pool which is very popular with local families with young kids (and for sundowners on a Friday).
Is it a nice swimming beach?
Yes – amazing! It’s also very popular amongst the local surfers.
Is there a braai?
Yes, there is a charcoal weber for you to use.
Does the kitchen have all the necessary appliances?
Yes, There are 2 x side by side fridges and 2 x side by side freezers, microwave, kettle, oven, gas hob, Nespresso machine, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and Tumble drier.
Are there sun loungers?
Yes – there are 8 sun lounges with towelling covers.
Does the pool have a net?
Yes
Other than go to the beach - what else is available for my family to do at the house?
There is a pool table, ping-pong table, dart board, giant jenga, chess, monopoly, puzzles, DSTV and Netflix.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately not.
